DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
Sri Dharma Sasta Bhajana Mandiram
We are extremely happy to announce that the long cherished wish of the Temple
Managing Committee and the devotees, to reconstruct the old Bhajana hall, has been
accomplished with the blessings of Sri Dharmasastha and whole hearted support of
the devotees. The new hall is named as Shri Dharmasastha Bhajana Mandiram. Its
ground floor accomodates vazhipad counters, strong room for keeping the valuables,
store rooms, meeting hall etc. First floor is enterily utilized as a specious
auditorium with stage, green rooms etc. for conducting various seminars, spiritual
discourses, cultural programmes like dance, music etc and temple arts like
ottamthullal, Chakiyarkuthu etc. during temple festival.
Oottupura (Dining Hall)
We are happy to inform that simultaneously with the construction of the Bhajana
Mandiram, an Oottupura (dining hall) with capacity to serve food to about 110
persons at a time was also constructed. Bhiksha to ayyappa devotees during last
Mandala season was conducted in this hall.
Laying of interlock tiles
Interlock tiles have been laid around the temple except where granite slabs have
already been laid for pradakshina vazhi.
Construction of Chuttuvilakku (lamps around the four walls of the temple)
The Temple Managing Committee have launched a major, sacred project of fixing
chuttuvilakku around the four walls of the temple. To ensure longlife, it is proposed
to fix the lamps on wooden frames covered with brass. It is estimated that each
lamps will cost about Rs. 1100/-. Total cost is estimated @ Rs. 6,70,000/-. Like
other projects, this also can be accomplished only with the whole hearted support
of the devotees. Hence we solicit your kind participation in this holy project. Those
